Whose Children will fail in their Exams? WAEC is not for Ghana but it is an International Examining Body. Ghanaian children are going to fail in their Exams if the Strike goes on for long.

Mahama, please don't let this continue because it can be dangerous. I have been a Teacher in Uncle Sam's country for over three decades and I just retired not long ago. No Government in Uncle Sam's country can tolerate and allow Teachers' Strike. It will be dangerous. The country will come to a standstill. Can you imagine Teenage students illegally carrying powerful Pistols roaming around in town without any supervision? Yes, one can illegally purchase any Pistol from Area Boys and Girls at any Petrol Filling Stations or Carparks. Such purchases are illegal and the Guns are not licensed. Yes, and these Children belong to Gangs who can shoot at each other on the least provocation. Some of these Children even carry out Drive-by shootings. They enter into their schools through Metal Detectors and their School Bags should be transparent. Yes, everything in their School Bags should be taken out and placed on conveyance belts that detect metals. If Teachers go on strike, it will be disastrous. Some Parents send their children to Recreational Centers where they can't go through with weapons.
There are always two or more Police vehicles with about four Police Personnel during school hours. Police Helicopters are always on the standby for any action.
I don't know and understand why some Teachers and Nurses can be allowed to work for about One and a Half years without any regular pay. Can that be done to Politicians, Soldiers and Police? This is wrong.
The Teachers and Nurses can solve this problem easily by going with the principle that IF THE GOVERNMENT PRETENDS TO PAY AND PROMOTE YOU, YOU ALSO PRETEND TO WORK. Teachers can organize the students and Pupils to go on Demonstrations unsupervised during the school hours. It will make the Government extremely unpopular and attend to the needs of the Teachers immediately. The Government and people in Uncle Sam's country respects Teachers and do it's requirements for Teachers to avoid any Teachers' Strike. Unless arrested under DUI, Teachers are let go for many Traffic Offenses because they are usually very responsible and obey rules.
Mahama, please try to do what you are required to do for the Teachers because their strikes can ruin your Political Party.

John Mahama was president from 2012-16, and what was his records with teachers? It was under Mahama that teachers worked for three years and get three months' pay so, mathematically, a teacher who worked in Ghana under Mahama's first term get a month's pay for a year's work.

Interestingly, the same teacher who worked for free under Mahama, voted for him to come and put him/her through the same inhumane situation so, why pity the Ghanaian teacher if he/she is not getting his/her salary under Mahama's government?

It's unfair our teachers, health workers and civil servants are treated this way with low salaries and pensions. Go to BOG, GRA, SSNIT, BOOST, VRA ECG, etc and see how much they earn as salaries and their pensions. The security services have no high salaries as those above but are placed on CAP 39 with very good pensions. They laugh all the way to the banks when they retire. Other workers on government payroll suffer in penury until they exist this earth. The commonwealth are shared by the above privileged groups. BOG even gives a golden hand shake after retirement. There's inequity in the reward system.
