Two people have died following a road crash involving a Hyundai H100 bus and a Ford tractor on the Kpetoe-Sarakope stretch of the Accra-Aflao Highway.

According to a report by myjoyonline.com, the accident occurred on Saturday, September 26, 2026, when the two vehicles, travelling from Kpetoe towards Aflao, were involved in a collision.

The Hyundai H100 was carrying 12 passengers at the time, while the Ford tractor had two occupants, bringing the total number of people involved in the crash to 14.

Firefighters from the Kpetoe Fire Station responded to the incident and rescued all 14 occupants from the vehicles.

The victims were subsequently handed over to personnel from the National Ambulance Service and the Ghana Police Service for further assistance.

They were then transported to the Ho Teaching Hospital for medical attention.

However, one male and one female victim were later confirmed dead at the hospital.

The Ghana National Fire Service has since urged motorists using the highway to exercise caution and adhere to road safety regulations.

The Service also cautioned drivers against improper overtaking, which can increase the risk of head-on collisions and other serious crashes.

The incident adds to concerns over road safety and the need for motorists to exercise greater care, particularly on busy highways.

Authorities continue to urge drivers to remain alert, avoid dangerous manoeuvres and prioritise the safety of all road users.
