  WESTERN REGION ALSO HAS A TOWN WITHOUT A CHIEF: ASANKRANGWA.
  Two Mbusua, Agona and Aduana, claimed the traditional Stool. After the death of the Agona Chief who occupied the Stool, the chieftaincy dispute was litigated in the palace of the Paramount Chief of Wassa Amenfi, Omanhene Tetrete Okuamoa Sekyim. The Aduana Abusua won. But the Agona Abusua made a rush appeal to the High Court in Sekondi. On that basis, the Omanhene appointed a Caretaker for the traditional Stool. Decades have passed. The chieftaincy dispute is in a limbo. And ASANKRANGWA a once vibrant Municipality of Wassa Amenfi West is still a Municipality but a faded shadow of its ancient glory.

  Are you from that town? I have worked in that town before during the late 70s throughout the 80s. I know towns like Amuni, Anyinabrim, Samreboi, Wasa Dunkwa, Moseaso, Oda Kotoamso etc. I am not a native of the area anyway.
