An aspiring parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the Tamale North constituency Mr. Akilu Sayibu has called on the government of president Mills to as a matter of extreme urgency find a permanent solution to the Tamale water crisis to prevent the incidence of cholera and other water related diseases in the Tamale Metropolis.

Mr. Akilu Sayibu made this call during a morning talk show programme on North Star fm in Tamale today.

The Tamale North parliamentary aspirant said: “it was hugely and excessively unacceptable for the three members of parliament of Tamale to be mute over the current water crisis in the Metropolis when the very electorates who voted them into parliament were suffering as a result of the water shortage in the area” On the impending NPP parliamentary primaries Mr. Akilu Sayibu said he was optimistic of a resounding victory in view of what he has already done for the Tamale North constituency, what he is doing now for the constituency and what he intend doing to give the NPP a booming victory in election 2012. “Having renovated the Tamale North constituency office to give it a benefiting outlook, and having also made my pick up vehicle available for party activities in the constituency among other things would earn me the seat- as the electorates were looking for those things I am already doing for the constituency” stated Mr. Akilu Sayibu.

“I have gotten employment for the Youth in the past; I set up the first publicity committee of the party in the region and also set up the Wuni Ntira Youth Association based at the Tamale Police Park which remains one of the most formidable Youth groups of the NPP in Tamale.” Mr. Akilu Sayibu added. The parliamentary aspirant further explained that, in view of the outmost dedication, loyalty and commitment that he has shown the party since 1992; he was convinced that, the delegates will vote for him to continue his good works to the NPP in Tamale North in particular and Ghana at large for secured victory.
