  Another young, beautiful woman gets onto the elevator and also smells of very expensive perfume. She arrogantly turns to the old woman and says, "Chanel No. 5, $150 dollars an ounce!"

  I am a northerner and I feel hurt when we are all insulted because we do not want to remain the slaves we have been since independence. The very people insulting us are the ones saying they want to give us free education. The Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah gave us what these same people are now using as a bait for votes; without demanding anything from us. Thank God we have come this far, courtesy of the Osagyefo. May he rest in perfect peace. Despite the differnt enthnic groups in Northern Ghana, we are lumped as one tribe who deserve nothing but to live a life of servitude.

  It surprises me that at this time and age weather could still hinder our activities. In winter, when temperatures are near or below zero, when snow makes it difficult for people to move, pupils still go to school in the developed world. Why can,t we emulate that.

  The teachers too should not give these conditions as an excuse to stay away from classrooms. If they do, will they collect their salaries or not?
  All the reasons you have given for the poor performance of children are unacceptable.

  Folks we are missing important point.Folks we need to study the picture the picture posted on Ghana web so that we perjudice perdict the reason why Northern schools is not performing well and we should eliminate the harmattan from the debate that it is the main reason why Northern schools are not performing well.
  
  (1)My clear obvious observation of the picture indicate there is no books on the pupils desk,which means Northern schools lacks text books if Ghanaians may remember former educational minister Hasane Ayariga did a shaddy deal worth US$44million dollars and piece of article has expose NDC propaganda agenda of improve education and even had 100% pass on BECE Examination is all hoax.
  
  (2)the picture posted on the web shows the classroom was not empty but full so what is their problem no wander Mahama is telling Ghanaians that all folks educated in the North are inferior not because they have free education but NDC government did not understand the importance of education period.Agariga stole all the money meant to buy books for these pupils.Hence these pupils will not perform well.

First weeks of reopening do not mostly record full attendence even in d rainny season in most public schools. Are techers fully at post to ginger the kids togo school? Your report if not well titled will paint another bad picture of d north.

  Tell these non-up-and-doing teachers and officers of GES in Tamale to do the right thing. It is shameful that professional teachers can excuse themselves and their students for a serious wrongdoing.
