  Ghanaian are the destroyers of Ghana. We looked on unconcerned, when foreigners loot the country. Possibly this Edward Boakye is making things difficult for the nations wreckers like this writer and the only thing they could do is to rally behind non existing organizations like Bureau for Internal Affairs (BIA). Ghana is for us, and no foreigner will buil this country for us. Visit Lenabon and see how these people are looting country's and building their country. Ghanaian's THINK.

  Exactly what I was thinking. He is probably closing loopholes and making it difficult for the corrupt officials of Customs to continue their nefarious activities. So some of them go to BIA crying fowl BIA should be more interested in the truth than to raise a red flag in defense of these perenneal losers.

  This will be in this case a positive direction, but i am really sure that the ministers and the politicians are all part of the game, therefore no investigation will given an assignment. Even if an investigation comes into realisation no result will come out of it. Till date many investigation ordered by former president Attah Mills has not brought anything profitable to the nation. The same people who investigating are almost the same who are involved.

  This is happening all because customs officers are not doing their work well.As a former customs officer he knows very well how corrupt customs officers are and is working hard to stop their corrupt practices.Those who have reported him to the BIA are the very ones whose activities are causing the state to lose trillions of revenue through underinvoicing,undevaluation and at times even non-payment of duties.If the activities of Boakye and his task force are leading to the recovery of unpaid duties the government should allow him to do his work.The government needs more robust measures to counter the corrupt practices of customs officers,clearing agents,importers and exporters which are depriving the state of trillions of revenue.

  Do Customs officers have respect for legitimate authority?All that they do always is stealing what belongs to the state.You see customs officers going to work with empty bags and leave work with their bags full of items[they call them 'samples'] given to them by importers,exporters,travellers etc even though civil servants are not to accept gifts.Most custums officers have one goal-to make money.They are state revenue raiders.

  Hey Guy Nkrumah, my fear is that you are afraid of "Positive Deviance". You just want to maintain the status quo.
  Just support the man's new ideas and strategies to check and weed out rampant corruption out there.
  In fact, Mr. Boakye must rather be commended and be given a national award for his effort......
