I don't think this is good judgement.Your duty to your employer must always come first under the regulations governing your employment.If there is a conflict it will be up to you to make choice as to which way your service must go to.The fact that you have been nominated as an assembly man does not give you priority over your job obligations and rules.After all an assembly man is a relatively insignificant appointment which must not interfere with your paid job.
