  I knew the main reason for the story was that Dr. Acquaye is not from the Volta Region and should not be the medical superintendent.

  No wonder Dr Nuettey and his cronies have their father's cow in or as the Volta regional Hospital that they are milking to death. Stealing is rampant in the health institutions and administrations.
  Extend the investigations into the Regional Health Administration financial management practices and you would highly likely uncover serious happenings.
  There are many hard working officers in the region who do not hail form the Volta region and no one accuses them just because they are not corrupt so stop the childish assertion that Dr Acquaye is not a Voltarian that is why he is being exposed.

  When was the last time a crooked administrator was jailed after being found of stealing or misusing public funds? Such a nice Regional hospital is being run down.The sign of deterioration is everywhere for anybody who visits the Ho Regional hospital.Imagine a patient being served a dish without any spoons or forks and the patients having to use their hands! No soaps anywhere. There are no buckets or containers for bath.In fact, there are not towels or soaps in the bathrooms for patients.That is the Gospel Truth.Most of these corrupt officials should be sacked right away and guilty ones prosecuted and sent to jail.After all, the Ho Regional hospital is the last stop for our sick in the Volta Region since most of the other Health facilities are in such deplorable conditions.Anyone in doubt should check these outfits and find out what the horrors going on.

  I can vouch that the Regional Director's story is misleading, and a concoction to soil the name of Victor. If he's not a part of the stealing syndicate, then he is being hoodwinked by those involved to go and defend them. Facts are facts! If the money wasn't embezzled, e.g., used to cover new debts not captured in the earlier debts, this shall be revealed through proper external auditing, something that can take just a couple of days to do. Let them follow the paper trails!
  
  Now, if there had been no stealing, why will they be allegedly "negotiating" to pay a bribe? Of course, they initiated the attempt to bribe Victor, not the other way round. Since Victor has recording of what transpired, this matter shld be settled promptly by making it available to the investigating body and the media for an additional charge to be slapped on them: attempting to bribe!
  
  The stealing in the public sector, which has taken alarming proportions in the health sector must be stopped. In Tamale, the Director openly admitted to the gargantuan nature of the stealing, claiming it was beyond control, as all the essential key staff are involved! So, what is this VR Regional Director saying? The journalists must be doing more to expose the rampant corruption going on in the country, instead of being labelled as destructive!

  I felt very heavy by the attiude this director displayed. I thought he would have said that it would be good if investigation into the matter should be concluded before making any conclusions. That is on the very low side.
