I support the road safety move by the National Road Safety Commission. Iam sure there are better ways of determining a safe tyre from a bad one. If you read most books on vehicles you can find something on this subject. We can also consult tyre manufactures for advice. I am saying this because i have a car with four years plus tyres which are almost new due to minimum use and i don'nt think those tyres are bad. I stand to be corrected.

a few days ago i read a commentary, and the writer expressed his frustration of his dilemma of his future home coming. he praised potatoes and how sweet cheese could be. i have never ate sugary potatoes nor sugary cheese by the way. this aroused my curiosity. i have lived in a very rich country for the past 30 years ( this is not contempt hunu). all what i want to say is i have used second hand household most of these 30 years. i continue sending over aged cars from this country to ghana, paying penalties and till now has no intention of stopping. a car that has been used in this country, that priced about 60 thousand local currency now sells after 14 years for 4 thousand. the first 10 years of the vehicle's life span was under original manufacurer's warranty. this vehicle has been used on good roads, and every two years it undergoes a strict technical control, where no, or least human influence. the same car, manufactured or assembled for our local market, is not only of inferior quality but the garniture is simily. ( 30 years ago, i was in nigeria and witnessed the first peugeot assembly plant.... few years later, a nigerian diplomat could not use a brand new peugeot assembled in nigeria in this very country) because it would not pass the import admission technical test. although the elements were sent from france. this country has about one third french culture. where french vehicles were in second place until late where toyota took over from everybody. this is evolution, living lower today with a better future in mind.(especially praying to replace fate with faith) the first time God talked to man according to the Bible was on a fruit ban, and we all know how long it lasted. till today, i have never been convinced of the ban on fridges and deepfreezers. at best, it has taken away the daily bread of some citizens. God says he would destroy those who destroy his planet earth. what has a poor fridge repairer or seller got to do with this? if it is dangerous, it has to do with the manufacturer. its almost 20 years this country changed currency but you can still trade in your old notes.the country does not import anymore cars that run on leaded fuel, but still sells leaded fuel to take care of the old ones in the system. there are vehicles not only 30 years of age, but the steering wheels are on the wrong side for ghana and have been banned, so many years ago. and all these cars of quality we have denied ourselves. in our banning, we offer choice to the poor which is not sensible. the choice of the poor is an eminent sub-standard. why ban tyres, in a country, where tyre alignments may survive the first week. where the geometrie.......why do we open avenues for corruption and bribes and still blame others? over here, there are no permanent police barriers, but they still manage to control vehicles. there is only one solution. a vehicle with sakora tyres are impounded at the barrier. it moves only when the tyres are changed to conformity. if he jumps one barrier guilty officers must be held responsible. mtu or station managers are to be held directly responsible for vehicles that do ply under their circumscription. this is democracy, not ndc-npp camouflaged dictatorship. a democracy, where your freedom starts where the other one's ceases. democracy is not supreme count of contempts, but where passengers could collectively urge the driver to stop and ask the driver for a refound. a democracy is a collective awareness, not ban ban in our egoistic interests. every monkey like me could identify a wrong tyre. we dont need universty degrees and bans to identify unworthy tyres. my stomach burns on how we monkeys do waste time and therefore monies on futlities. till when? i know when monkey no fine , i fine for the mother, but improved monkies may please the mother the more. stop this simple approach of ban. if it did not work for the overall boss, i doubt we are smarter. ban reads nab...... i dont want to become a one day arab or french scolar. but what i know is that it could interpret abel who was naive enough and could not forseee even the negative or diabolical intentions of his brother. let us stay away from others in time of sacrifice. sacrifice shall ever remain subjective. others sacrifice for the cold and we sacrifice not for the heat but other shortcomings.

THEY WANT THE BAN EXTENDED SO THAN MORE PEOPLE ARE KILLED IN ACCIDENTS.CAR TYRES DO HAVE EXPIRY DATES.
