THE TEACHER BODIES SHOULD IN FACT SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS,THIS POLICY OF NOT GIVING ALLOWANCES TO TEACHER TRAINEES IS BAD THE NPP AND NDC GOVERNMENT ARE KILLING EDUCATION SLOWLY.

In fact I am very surprise that at day and age, people like you still exist to call other people NTAFOO. It is the height of arrogance, illiteracy, ignorance and lack of morals. You have demonstrated that you are from a very primitive ethnic group. The global call for the respect of all peoples and human rights has not reached your village yet. It is absolutely sickening for some body who claims to be respected citizen of Ghana to continue to think and believe that his tribe is superior. Go to our secondary schools and universities, you will see that people of your tribe are not among those who top the class. This is where your ignorance is taking you. Thank God Ghana is a republican state and we are not ruled by tribal heads.

Prof, how do you reconcile the fact that TTCs are now Colleges of Education and are considered tertiary institutions to payment of allowances? All tertiary students go for student loans. They are either tertiary students and therefore are entitled to loans, or are TTCs and entitled to allowances.
Do you also know that because of the payment of allowances most colleges now admit less students than their capacity? It wil be much more beneficial to use the money paid as allowances to expand the Colleges so that many more trainees can be admitted. Talk to the right and get the rational of the new policy before making this kind of statement. I don't believe your assessment is sound.
This kind of attitude like the one made by NAGRAT about the staff rationalization program at GES, only goes to show how inward looking teacher unions have become. These positions will not transform this country.
