  It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution...

  The complaint is that VRA is skewing the bid by specifying a GE equipment. The corporate affairs official "refutes" this by saying that the space available can only fit a GE machine. Why will the space be made to only fit a GE turbine? Is that not skewing the process, especially when this is not an existing plant but a new one being built? If space is such an important determinant in what equipment can be used, then shouldn't the equipment have been decided before creating the space.
  
  Mind you GE is a solid brand and I will take that over a Chinese or Russian turbine, even if I have to pay twice the price. . It is just that this official's explanation makes no sense.

  The VRA explanation is not adequate for the proprietary specification of GE Turbines. What they should have done was to have indicated the dimensions of the available space and the specs of the interconnecting equipment alrea ...

  The VRA explanation is not adequate for the proprietary specification of GE Turbines. What they should have done was to have indicated the dimensions of the available space and the specs of the interconnecting equipment already in place and stated that the turbines to provided shall fit into these with the burden of proof being on the bidder. This bid may be 10-25% more expensive in the long run as a result of this proprietary spec.
