This policy means the streets will be named after the government cronies who have emptied the nations covers since they will have the funds to pay. Idiots ruling a nation!!!

As a country we have lost our senses; our political leader have no brains, our supreme court justices do not understand the laws they are supposed to interprete, criminals and muderers like rawlings are hailed as heroes and statemens, corruption is now an admired quality for people in high places.
What else is new in this fantasy land called Ghana.

You can't charge people for naming streets after them. It's a wrong move ,it never happens anywhere.Else where streets are named after people who have significantly contributed immensely in one way or the other to the village, town, district, region or national.A committee must be formed to look out for these people, have these names gazetted before they are named after the streets.Streets can be named after people who have been recognised nationally, regionally (any other region),districts and not necessarily those from the indigenious regions. these names then, must be logged at the village, town or district councils.they are then used to prepare the map of that locality. Now if you sell the names and people default in their annual payment are their names going to removed and new maps prepared. This is a very important exercise and must tackled seriously. This is not for revenue generation.those who are proposing this must be sacked. they don't understand the whole thing.
