ROAD TOLL LEADS TO THESE AT LEGON.

1]The barber opened up a shavings account.
2]If you have to pay to go to the river, we'd better stop at the bank.
3]Whenever I go near my bank near Legon I get withdrawal symptoms.
4]Two banks with different rates have a conflict of interest.
5]When I asked if I could get insurance if the nearby volcano erupted they assured me I would be covered.

As usual,the allocation of these funds,is being done on "Kokofu ballbo basis"! Recall many of these 'big' faculty members who have their independent connections to obtaining funding,will nevertheless,latch on to the lion`s share of these funds. The 'renegades' will be shut out.
And just imagine the highly provocative language being thrown around by a VC, who hasn`t yet gotten the loud and clear message that UG belongs to the 'good and hradwoking people of this country'!

mine is a mix of admiration for the bold initiative to rehabilitate the roads and scepticism at the stated objective "of reducing the build-up of vehicular traffic on the campus and creating a more congenial atmosphere for academic work", 'cos my intuition tells me that if the university authorities had their way, they would go on to build three-tier intersections to make more money ...for themselves, and how that would "reduce the build-up of vehicular traffic on the campus and create a more congenial atmosphere for academic work" should be as clear to you and me as a transparent glass!

Fellow Ghanaians I'm proposing the parliament grant the Vice Chancellor of University of Ghana, Professor Earnest Ayeetey a special dispensation to rule tnis country for 3 months and also be allowed to form his cabinet of ministers from the Legon Academia of Professors and Doctors. Probably this will give Ghanaians an insight into the wisdom and quality of rulership the type they have tried to impliment at Legon which most of us have refused to understand and resisted all these while. Who knows Professor Ayeetey could be an alternate leader this country desires and closing our eyes to. Pls. Ghanaians let's try him and his cabinet of Legon intellectuals at least for an experiment.
