  All of a sudden we are beginning to hear of Gonjaland Youth Association meetings here and there. This is happening at a time one of their kinsmen is President of Ghana. Well, no one begrudges any group from meeting, it is a constitutional right. But when these groups are too glaringly tribal, ethnically based, they become the basis of ethnic animosities especially in a volitile region like the North. Why can't we have Daboya Dev't Association were all residents of Daboya, whether Gonja, Dagomba, mamprusi, Dagarti Nawuri or Wala can meet and contribute to the development of the area? There is the need to integrate our societies to eliminate all ethnic conflicts. This goes for all tribally based groupings in Ghana not only the Gonjaland Youth Associations.
