Petrol can never be diluted with water. They are two completely different compounds with different chemical properties. The problem could be that Prince might have left his engine on when being served with the fuel. This could stair the water condensate beneath the tank causing part of this water into the injectors of the engine. Even if you stair with a blender, the water will eventually separate and settle beneath. Drivers are therefore advised to turn off their engine whiles being served with fuel. They are also advised to regularly (once a year) open the nut underneath the fuel tank to remove any water condensate. Sorry for Prince and the ignorant writer. Let's learn to do the right thing and take basic instruction. It's written boldly at the station to switch of engine. Also check the manual of your car for routine servicing. Good luck next time.

If not, then what Sakamosta described is the most likely cause. News One jounalists should have done their homework well. It's common sense that if petrol is adulterated with water and sold to drivers, there would have been at least other drivers who would have experienced similar problems. They should have found out if there were similar complaints.

I HAVE 2 HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH SOME FILLING STATIONS AND COMPLAINED WITH SAMPLES. IN BOTH INSTANCES IT WAS KEROSENE IN THE DIESEL FUEL.

Basic science tell me that petrol and water cannot be mixed. They have complete different chemical properties. Even if you stair with a blender, the water will separate and settle beneath. Besides, where is the proof linking the station to this unfortunate mishap? I don`t know if car owners know that there are inexpensive fuel additives on the market which take care of water condensation problems in fuel tanks and lines in automobiles.
My brother, we know times are tugh these days,but why don`t you hook up with some of the babes in your industry who have been complaining publicly about being starved of the big "S" word. This will stop them from having to go male hunting in far way places!

The effect of it on your engine will occur only when the top petrol has been used up and the pump begins to draw from the bottom of the tank. When this happened to you few meters after filling your vehicle then another source could be responsible.
