  This occurred less than 1 km from the toll booth hence sleep was not the issue. Traffic merges with the motorway traffic just around the scene of the accident. Trotros etc so I am assuming the bus was cut off and the driver swerved and lost control.
  
  Swerving into the median suggests, he was cut off from the right side of the road.
  
  It is totally unnecessary yet very prevalent, to see cars cutting off other cars on an empty motorway. The motorway is a total death trap and with its own rules of engagement. If you follow the highway code, you won't make it out alive.
