Is there any use for the city authorities if citizens are to blame for the filth? If a neighbour makes your neighbourhood filthy, do you beat him up? There must be someone paid to ensure people keep their environment clean.
This is the price Ghanaians are paying for electing leaders whose mentality is just to amass wealth at the expense of the ordinary Ghanaian voter.

if my memory serves me right, during the time of Philip Nkrumah, Sekondi-Takoradi was adjudged the cleanest city in Ghana. perhaps the city needed an Anthony Cudjoe, a retired military officer, to turn things around. SAD!
If citizens observe basic sanitation and personal hygiene practices then cholera and other sanitation related diseases will be prevented.

Keep Takoradi clean and make General Guggisberg proud in his grave. He designed Takoradi along the lines of an European city.
Save Takorad now. Sekondi and Essikadu are already derelict. The whole of Essikadu is a disgrace and need to be grazed down to prevent a major public health situation.
