  There is discrimination in the award of scholarships especially to the disadvantage of Akyems who make-up more than half of the population of the Eastern Region.
  
  There are many fields where Ghana lacks the needed expertise. To solve this problem the government of Ghana has over the decades made scholarships available for the needed human resource to be trained abroad. In some cases so many people were sent and not even one returned. If you know you are not prepared to work and live in Ghana and would therefore not return do not take the scholarships.
  
  The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.
  
  Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.
  
  Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.
  
  Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

  Isn't it ironic that the very reason for the failure in our current educational system and high illiteracy in our graduates and ministers is because of the excessive use of Twi, which was a Rawlings catastrophe after he closed down our Universities for several years, and all the students could do was hang out in street corners and talk themselves to death. Majority who happened to be from the villages got stranded in Accra, and hence the Akan invasion of Accra. Now the Minister of Education wants to worsen the problem.

  Let's face it, Honourable Dr. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman, we do not know how to provide a great education. We could make sure that every young child in Ghana got a great education. We fall far short of that, and you know it. We have woefully failed to attract pretty talented people in our country to go into public education to teach our children.
  
  We must do something really fast to rectify the mediocre education we are dishing out to our young ones. The miseducation we are subjecting them to, eventually comes back years later to haunt us. Whether it is 70% pass, or 30% fail, the education we are giving them is mediocre and not rigorous, madam.

  What do you expect from a woman whom from her looks, speaks English like Kuffuor. Is this not the Education Minister who was recently advocating for Ghanaians to make TWI their official language. Nothing good is gonna come out of our educational system. The privileged will always make the financial sacrifices and separate their children from those who have been indoctrinated into thinking you can be equally and highly educated in Twi. Go ahead, in the end you will always be the laughing stock of the elite. Make Ojako (that ugly Kumawood Actor) your hero, and you will be accepted in this new found dysfunctional society.
  
  Useless people. Just look at what she has done to her hair with all that fake thread. This is a result of forcing beautiful little Ghanaian girls to shave their heads while in school. Besides looking awkward, you can never distinguish them from real boys. Then when they start to mature, they have to spend 75% of their little earned salary or alms, buying fake hair, almost their entire life cycle. We pick on the dumbest and most outrageous things and call it Ghanaian culture. Since when did I tell anyone of you that I was born and breed in a village?

  You cannot teach every child in their mother tongue. You are trying to use a technicality to force every child to learn Twi only.

  Any child who attends school in Upper East, Upper West and Northern Ghana, must be taught in the language of those territories.
  
  Any child who attends school in the Central, Western and Ashanti Regions, must be taught in Fanti, Twi or the derivatives there of.
  
  Our elected and appointed officials do not exercise their thinking faculties, when given the opportunity. They don't even consult stakeholders, instead they will listen to their village chiefs or even their illiterate grandparents, people who do not understand nation building and a civilized society. All they can mutter is ethnocentrism.
  
  You are full of it Madame Minister. Every child in Ghana can be better taught at home in their mother tongue, What in the world would you be teaching these kids in Twi, Ga, Ewe or Hausa? Please let us know, LIAR!
  
  How are you going to split up a classroom with 10 Ga Kids, 5 Hausa Kids and 15 Akan children to teach them all in their mother tongues?
  You have simple deviced a way to indoctrinate all our children in one language only TWI. Shame on you. Fact is you did suggest not too long ago that your intention was t make every Ghanaian child speak TWI.
