It appears the GJA has not received any formal complaint from any of the Journalists who claim to have been brutalized in the country of late.

I was expecting to read part of the complaint in the President's statement.

I have also not read from any of the newspapers the Journalists' side of the alleged assault and brutality.

You cannot win the support of the people if you fail to inform them.

I am surprised that (subject to correction) AFIA POKUAA of all journalists at ADOM FM is quiet over these issues.

You have the platform and if you can't use it to your advantage, then you should shut up over the alleged brutality.

It's true that some of the jounalists have big mouths but their bosses are pleased with them and pay them salary. Why should anybody assault the VIM LADY?

But what about those village young men and women who have been employed by radio stations without any training who spew only politics,insults, impudence and arrogance and unsubstantiated allegations and political agitations.

GJA seems to exist only when something happens to a journalist. Well, for me, law and order is not the issue, the issue is about professionalism and sensitivity. Some issues, despite media freedom, are very volatile and should treated as by the media. If they choose to face them mindful of the effects, they should be ready to manage the effects and don't blame law and order for similar things have happened to other citizens and the GJA was no were to be found.
