We need people like K. Boakye to arrest the situation at Kejetia. It has been like that since time immemorial. The public should give the police information about those with criminal activities. Yes, the people know who the criminals are. They live and dine with them but are scared to mention them unless the police can also maintain their confidentiality.

It is past time Kejetia activities are dispersed all over Kumasi. In 1960, the population was 218,000. Today it is 15 fold or more and yet all action is still concentrated in Kejetia. Meanwhile the roads have not been widened. Places of convenience are non existent. Traffic has ballooned. The Cultural Center has been overrun by squatters and hawkers.
In 1963 Nkrumah built Nkrumah (Asafo) market to take care of the population growth in the medium term. How many more markets have been built since then? NADA, ZILCH.
Kumasi boasts of KNUST the only university which offers Land Economy and Urban Planning. So let us see some of their worth. Step up AYA (A Y Asante) children. I long for W.C. Owusu of Arts College who built several statutes to beautify Kumasi.
