Fellow CPP members and its sympathizers, if you think you can find a safe Heaven with the " Y3n Akanfuo " Npp Motorbikes thieves terrorist groups, then you are lying to yourselves. The Npp hate Nkrumah , his legacies and his followers, giving your Vote to the Npp is like giving your last bullets to your enemies, Npp is looking for the best way possibly to scrap " NKRUMAH " from the History of this country ( GHANA ) and replace him with that of their terrorist JBD. VOTE President Mahama and his NDC PARTY for safety and upgrade ( Kwame Nkrumah " in his Grave.

If the government did not want anybody to talk about the exorbitant cost of the interchange, it should have come clean from the beginning; from the bidding process to the award of the contract.
If you have an open bidding process in which three or more companies bid for a project, and the submitted tender documents opened in front of all representatives of the contractors that took part in the process, and you award the contract to one of the companies based on best technical specifications and reasonable lower cost, the amount you award the contract will be known to even the other contractors and it will not be difficult for the government to release it.
How can we award contract to a company and the work is ongoing without knowing exactly how much we've awarded it, and we're still talking about projected figures and so on? I believe Nana is hitting the nail on the head. There is too much obscurity and lack of transparency in awarding the project, and we're afraid that Ghanaians may not be getting value for their money.

We have been in this country when the uncompleted extension of the runway of Kumasi Regional Airport has been described by the Mahama NDC gov't as an ultra modern international airport comparable to any international airport in the US, Germany, France, UK, Holland, China, Hong Kong, etc, etc. So what does the Mahama NDC gov't means by an ultra modern Kumasi central market because Ghanaians have had it with mediocre leadership and propaganda.

Mr. Kwesi Pratt, could you remember that Nkrumah used to incite workers to strike against the Whiteman, but outlawed strikes in his regime and said they were unpatriotic when living conditions were genuinely difficult for workers?
Could you also remember that Rawlings used to incite TUC workers to strike against Liman's government to over throw it fraudulently? And could you remember that he used to take 'Kenkey' to Legon to demonstrate how the size had shrunk under Liman and we ended up in the "Rawlings's Chain" but nobody could talk? Could you further remember that Acheampong and Rawlings used the mild IMF conditions under Busia and Liman respectively as justifications for overthrowing their governments deceitfully? Could you still remember that PNDC reintroduced IMF and the World Bank with more stringent conditions after the coup without apologizing to Liman?
I don't know what the fake leftists are talking about, and I don't believe that NPP is behind the present wave of strikes either. As far as I know, NPP is only highlighting the failings and excesses of the NDC government, hopping that they would translate into votes for the party in the next elections. And that is, in fact, a genuine and legitimate politics since the failings are true and not false. Everybody in Ghana knows that cost of living under this NDC government is unbearable, and NPP is democratically seizing the opportunity to convince the electorate not to vote for NDC in the next elections.
Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with an opposition highlighting the failings of an incapable government to wrestle power from it democratically. NDC is the cause of the strikes because of the massive corruption, over spending, reckless borrowing and overall economic mismanagement that have brought untold hardship on Ghanaians.
Moreover, NDC cannot frivolously spend $5bn of public money outside the budget in 2012 to buy the conscience of some gullible voters, and yet expect everything to be normal in the subsequent years without any difficulties in the economy.

Either there is a problem with government bid contracts or government agencies with oversight authority of road projects are incompetent but it can never be problems of or with contractors.
If project contracts were written with dated milestone set in place and with inspection stipulations then what is it about cost overruns that should be borne by government? The last time I checked on standard contracts it was and is the responsibility of interested vendors submitting price quotes on a project to undertake their own project cost assessments and desired profit margin to come up with the price quote. Cost overruns come about because of customers initiated changes which may result in upswing of cost and time. Which is it that is causing these delays and cost overrun? The minister must not mismanage projects and turn around and blame contractors for incompetent management.
