We must be grateful to Israel for this gesture and opportunity she has offered us. And we should not underutilize that privilege. We should make access to this scholarship genuinely competitive, and free from corruption, where nepotism and tribalism and partisan partiality are used to deny the most qualified such a scholarship.
Israel is a worthy friend to emulate in many endeavors to build a successful Economy and Nation. I wish we had maintained the blossoming relationship that Nkrumah initiated with Ben Gurion in the 60s with which many Students gained the opportunity to train in Israel in Agricultural Engineering.
The accomplishment of Israel in Agriculture, Land Utility, Water and Energy Sustenance is unparalleled and we must position ourselves well to benefit from her experience in all these and more.
It is our collective African Union's decisions on Israel's conflict with Palestine that diluted our relationship with the Jewish Nation. But times have changed, now, and even as we wisely encourage Israel to find lasting Peace with her neighbors, and especially with the Palestinians, we could still maintain a very mutually progressive friendship with her.
May God bless both Countries and always provide the healthiest way to resolve any differences that might crop up between them so that we would all grow better and more successful together and bring more glory to the name of the Lord!
Long Live Israel!!
Long Live Ghana!!!
