a lot of Ga are mixed with Akwapim and akwamu. the whole story of Ga migrating from nigeria is questionable. ther is no proof. i am yet to meet a hardcore nigeirian witht the name nii ayitey ankrah or some sort. but when u go to togo u will find Ga names such as adjetey, ayitey, tc. the reason is simple. the Ga had a war with the Akwamu. the Ga were defeated and many of them fled to aburi, odumase (those knwown today as krobo) and present day Togo (in a town named an3hor). these Ga togolese still hold Ga tradiions like homowo etc. im not a GA BUT I KNOW MY HISTORY. now bck to the topic to why Ga woud have an Akan sounding name ..it is because for centuries the Ga peope have surrounded by Akan tribes and so have been heavily influenced. not only that many early AKans especially the akwapims and kwahus that migrated to the accra region have integrated and become Gas. thats why find names such as osekre (sekyre), asante, afriyie, kwao, Saamoah (asamoah), yemoh (yamoah), osae (osei) etc. learn your history and better yet be observant. if u do nobody would lie to u with unproven fairytales

If you are overseas resident, you are always a target by greedy and wicked chiefs. One of the hottest communities to stay away from in Accra, is Pokuase. If you want to acquire a property there, buy from estate developer not from the stool. Else you may even put your life at risk!!!.
