This slogan " not accountable to you ( media) seems to be catching on pretty fast amongst leaders in our society.The media is the mouthpiece of civic society. For that matter every public office holder has to answer every question they are asked by them.This "Madam" says she is only answerable to her bosses in a case of probable malfeasance brought against her.The former sports minister also said he was also answerable to only his bosses when asked about his expense account in the WAFU cup ( pls remind me which cup it was, just " blockheaded by foolishness ).In the melee of events that eventually unfolded, the miniter would be re-assigned to the trade/industry ministry.Was it mere coincidence or just another " maniere de faire" with this government? So this headmistress would soon become advisor to the minister of education perhaps if that has become " the way to go" a la NDC?

The headmistress has no power to sack any teacher. she can only release them through district and regional directors to GES for reposting if she thinks they are overstaff.

Mmmmmmm it has happened again. Some of my colleagues and I were released like this to district director for reposting to remote areas because we didn't allow the students to cheat during WASSCE exams. The headmistress levelled all sorts of allegations against us and we were forced out of the school.now I am running my own business which is much profitable.but sometimes I feel guilty because the government sponsored my education at the teachers training school and now because of someone's evil deeds I am not teaching again.many teachers rights are abused but for fear of certain instances as this they endure it.I was in the eastern region and heard about this mistress who treats teachers as nonentities.people my colleagues go wherever you are posted to,save some money and venture into something profitable.

the headmistress is replacing them with those she thinks are mumu teacheers. How can you send an experience maths teacher away and replace that person withh an inexperience person? The heads have been given tooo much power.

Guys don't argue over this issue, if u read the article the teachers are not sacked but rather are being notify to go teach in a different school's due to over- staffing so it is now left with GES to relocate them.
