  The National Migration Policy should look at the experience of countries such as Canada, China and India with introduction of 10 year multiple entry visas. If the government is committed to attracting an increasing number of visitors to Ghana as part of their policy to grow Ghana's economy and create jobs then introduction of the 10 year visa will help. By issueing visas as quickly as possible to facilitate travel for genuine visitors Ghana will benefit from the economic spinoff they bring to Ghana. The current 1 year multiple visa wastes resources and discourages frequent travel. Most discouraging of all is the 60 day limit stamped on visitors' passports when they arrive and the need to go through another layer of approvals to extend their stay. This is very frustrating and imposes an unnecessary barrier to promoting tourism to Ghana.
