If you want to go a,university, just apply to the preferred institution, period. Apply to Ho, Tamale, Kumasi, or wherever and stop tribalising education. Sometimes I blame the NDC for tribalising everything including projects. That is why today anything that happens in Ho is always considered as a need by Fantes. This nonsense must stop now.

In an attempt to deviate from issues to attack personalities we end up exposing our own ignorance. Fantis are matrilineal so you can have my name for instance but by virtue of my mother being a Fanti I am a Fanti. We learn.

Did any of you enrol to Cape Coast Ploy to pursue degree courses? No you went there as Polytechnic students after you probably failed to get admission into the already existing numerous universities in Ghana.

UCC is in cape coast next to you why did you not go there in the first place? You want short cut? Work hard and pass well and you will be admitted into any University in Ghana.

There is no where in the world we demonstrate to gain admission into tertiary institutions. It is by merit of academic credentials.

It is unfortunate that some of us are attacking the students for fighting for their right. The truth of the matter is that an assessment was made to convert the polytechnics into technical universities and per the assessment the schools were ranked (Kumasi, Accra, Koforidua, Takoradi, sunyani, cape coast, Ho .... )in that order. The first five were to be converted this year as batch one. Cape coast, Ho and Temale as the second batch. The government decided to convert 6 as the first batch and as per the ranking cape coast was 6th and Ho was 7th but the government decided to convert Ho poly instead of Cpoly. I think we live in a civilized community and things should be done write.We should not bring politics into education.
