The Fulanis have been keeping cattle for us in the Battor area of the VR for decades and we don't have these conflicts.

This was deliberate and not a mistake. What would have happened afterwards if Christians had retaliated? Does it mean that Muslims are agents of Satan who has vowed to destroy the church? This is why Mahama should have condemned the Muslim youth for this needless provocation but unfortunately he did not. The last time, Muslims burnt down a christian Mission house in Atebubu and that one too he did not condemn it. An heated exchange between President John Mahama of Ghana and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults with President Mahama losing his temper and calling General Obasanjo “an idiot” and a “stupid buffon”.
This was after Obasanjo openly accused the Ghanian President and his government of financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign. He also accused President Mahama of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa.
It took the intervention of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room to prevent a bigger episode.
