We are filthy people, we disregard all the laws of nature, humanity, decency and integrity. I have been to cape coast before and looked across the city from atop the castle, and I was flabbagasted at the level of filth and unclean people. My disregard for this amazingly beutiful edifice is that the people will trash it within months. Lawless street hawkers will take over the sidewalks , parking lots and eventually entire market. We do not know how to enforce laws and punish perpetrators. We always take delight in defending the devil, filthy poor ignorant citizens, because we are afraid we will one day become poor, filthy and ignorant.

And, yes, this is not the 1950s. Believe it or not, there have been planners employed by municipal councils for many decades. The system does not always work, because people find ways to bend the rules.
Let us hope that we will learn.
I certainly appreciate what I see here. I have a soft spot for Cape Coast - my birthplace.

Hopefully, successive governments will not play mere politics, but continue with reasonable and sustainable development work.
Nkrumah's projects were labeled self-aggrandizement projects. Only today have we realized that the Motorway, Akosombo Dam and the GIHOC factories were great projects.
We have to do better as a nation. And if giving credit to NDC for this monumental structure is what it takes, then so be it.
I really do not care who builds them. As long as they benefit the people, I will say CONGRATS.

People said the same thing about the Accra Malls, and will say the same about every shopping facility.
The updates are necessary, and I am glad someone is seeing it that way.

"The facility, which is expected to be completed in June 2016..." Ei Ghanaian journalists! You are reporting in August 2016 so the statement should have read "which was expected to be completed in June 2016" and then you find out from the project administrators or contractors while it is still yet to be completed. Unless it is a cut and paste story from archived report earlier in the year.

When will Sunyani get it fair share of the infrastructures development going on in other regional capitals? Nothing new or modern going on in Sunyani. No foreign contractor is involved in construction of any kind in Sunyani, we don't have a modern studium, modern market, technical school, nursing school, world class university, built by foreign contractor, roads constructed by foreign contractors, no modern housing, a whole lot of problems the city is facing and no government either Ndc or Npp have in their plans to help grow the regional capital to be recognized in the country or beyond. What do you call this? cheating. Distribution of the national cake,is shared by regions you like at the expense of those who don't talk like Brong Ahafo. Rise up the good people of Brong Ahafo for your share of the national cake and demand your share of infrastructure developments. They are passing you by, speak out Brong Ahafo
