What a shame. Sometimes you take a look at these so called elites in our country and you are tempted to give them the benefit of the doubt. But a closer look at their convoluted ideologies and one can’t help but conclude that they are the most despicable group ever to roam the corridors of power. For crying out loud, when did ROBBING PETER TO PAY PAUL become a justifiable concept? The ruling class never give up a penny or pesewa of their allowances but they deem it fit to take away the allowances f poor nursing students and thus saddle their parents and guardians with an extra financial burden. I am sure the allowances enjoyed by the vice president and his obnoxious boss could offset the amounts taken away from the students. Is it not a shame that we have inept people like the vice president holding on to their pelf while they continue to fleece the ordinary citizen in the street.

These allowances were introduced in Ghana, at a different time when it was necessary in the same way that university education was heavily subsidised. Except for the wanton stealing of state money by government officials, these kinds of measures (eliminating suvsidies), is the right thing to do. It is difficult to defend the principle when one is aware that the Minister of such and such department or the CEO of this or that government company is stealing money, gar fili gar dokye!
