Until Ghana is serious about technical education nothing will work! Evppery corner of Accra is dotted with one or two buildings called universities. What they teach is non technical! All those at the ministry of education must one day answer for that. Approving useless education just to keep unemployed in school.

Lack of skilled tradesmen, technical engineers in Ghana will always affect the cost of infrastructural development. All I hear is people making reference to how other countries built comparable structures with less money but nobody takes into consideration which workers built them. Ghana relies heavily on foreign workers due to lack of skilled tradesmen and for that reason alone, price will always be higher.

The most useless University in Ghana is mountcrest university college and national accreditation board is unconcern. A college which doesn't have examination records of their students and hence had not been able to graduate a single student from the school of medical sciences since inception in 2008. It strange that national accreditation board is only interested in collecting bribe from the school instead of ensuring that the comply with the rules and regulations. Hmmmmmm Ghana

WE SAY: UN "requires" what?

What does that mean?

When did the UN become a prioritizing headmaster and agent for education in Ghana?

Clearly, lots of improvement is needed in the area of technical education, in addition to life skills training. And the fact that just 37% of female adults are literate is a shame and big disappointment.

What is also a bit confounding to us is why this type of basic data must originate from UNESCO.

On another level, as presented by Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, this type of data is best understood as part of a time series---trend; not just a single data point from an entity that has no stake in the policy area.

QUESTION: What has been the trend/nature of the problem over the years in the different locales/regions ---- , which is a question larger than "graduate and undergraduate students at the universities" can competently address through research.

Where did the Professor school? He Parents, I am warning you not to send your wards to a Technical cal school in Ghana. They will be stuck down the educational ladder. After graduating from Technical school, there is no other avenue for the student to continue his or her education . The Polytechnics have b taking over by high school leavers.
