This is very sad. I wish the bereaved family strength, comfort and peace. May the good Lord less and protect them.

But why did this Reporter not offer any assistance to help the woman, when he saw that the woman was repositioning the stove. He could have advised her not to hang the cloth near the gas flame. He could have pulled the cloth away before it caught fire. He could have turned off the Gas when he saw the woman rushing into the room to rescue the Baby. Man, there is a lot this stupid reporter could have done to save this tragedy.
ut, was he just interested in his sensational article that would ring him FAME? Or, is this a partly doctored story? What exactly did this reporter see?
Is it true, that she was repositioning the gas flame whilst cooking? Can it be true, that a Firefighter and his wife keep textiles hanging around the open flame of a gas stove whilst cooking?
I am a bit confused, because Firefighters learn something called
"Prevention is better than cure"

Fire Service, spend some time now organising public education on Gas in the House. Broad topic though but can be broken down and taught in schools and on market days as gas is new in the communities and educating its proper use should not be taken for granted. Thank you all.
