  What else could be their motivation? Fear of being prosecuted without mercy? Maybe not. This last minute scrambling to have something done may not be enough to save their butts from Jail, if the new Administration chooses to prosecute them for looting and gross mismanagement.
  
  The Public won't have enough tears to shed for them, either, having used them all to cry for so long for help that hardly came.

  Kumasi and all our towns in Ghana must have modern wastewater treatment Plants and well managed dumpsters.
  
  Our Sanitory systems must include a network of subterranean culverts. And no more open gutters should be constructed anywhere. These 3 facilities are crucial for any City to attain a globally recognized and acceptable modern standard of Hygiene.
  
  We have for too long lived among such filth that we seem to have forgotten what our responsibilities are to keep our towns and villages and cities clean. The massive urban floods that afflict us these days are partly because of the stupendous amount of thrash that choke up our drainage paths.
  
  We cannot just claim Middle-Income status for our nation without those facilities. If we succeed in providing those to appropriately sanitize our towns and cities and villages, we would surely attract more tourism, and reduce various diseases like cholera to barest minimum, if not completely wiping them out.

  THIS IS LONG OVERDUE. AT TIMES, THE VARIOUS COMMUNITIES SHOULD ORGANISE THEMSELVES AND TIDY UP THEIR ENVIROMENTS. WE SHOULDN'T ALWAYS LOOK UP TO 'SOMEONE' TO COME AND CLEAN OUR OWN 'HOUSE' FOR US. WE NEED TO TAKE UP THE MANTL ...
