The same lands have been sold to these companies in the name of " legal" mining because politicians are getting their fair share. God to Tarkwa, Prestea, Bogoso and other mining communities to have a look at the mass destruction caused by the so called legal mining companies. Why not put proper measures in place to ensure that the youth are employed in the small scale mining sector instead of constantly selling our lands to foreign companies who do nothing for the communities affected by their activities.

Go to the big registered mining companies and see how they are destroying our lands. But they have put a reclamation program so that after they mine they try to make the land useful again. Are our galamsey guys doing same? The government can help train such ones, educate them, and make them register their businesses, employ mine inspectors.
