Would it be wise to rather introduce fire drill to all organisation so that once a month every organisation does this fire drill as a mandatory drill. Markets leaders, Trotro station, Taxi ranks do not do not know what to do when there is a fire out break and everyone appears to look on expect the heaven to do the drill. Fire service must and should take hold on this and spread the fire drill on radios, and TV and other mode of media coverage.

Sometimes as laymen, we are baffled by the inability of the Fire Service to combat the outbreaks. For instance the initial explanation that the Trade Fair Site incident could not be readily quenched because of the locking - up of the fire hydrants, is untenable. The Fire Station is on the premises and the officers could have sorted the issue with GWSC as a matter of course. The Africa Lake , which is part of the Trade Fair Complex is a few metres away from the Fire Station and is always full of water. Just across the road is the Kpeshie lagoon.
Publication of the report on the investigation will certainly help us all see the way forward.

Fire burn them all.
