The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem(KEEA) in the Central Region, Nana Appiah Korang has encouraged all the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates to work hard and pass their examination in order to grab President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s free Senior High School (SHS) policy gift.
The MCE made this known when visited some of the examination centers including Edinaman, Saint Anne, Ayensudo M/A Primary JHS and Elmina Methodist A&B JHS where candidates are writing the BECE across the Municipality.
He assured them that their brighter future starts from the BECE and strongly believed 98% of the candidates in KEEA municipality will get admission into SHS with good grades.
Nana Korang entreated all the students to abide by the laid down examination rules and regulations to avoid any examination malpractice and its adverse effects on them.
He encouraged them to be confident and not panic as they write the exams to make their parents, teachers and him proud.
“God is before you and behind you and he is going to guide you in all your doing so do not entertain fears as you are writing your exams. I wish you good luck in your endeavors and am sure everybody will pass” he added.
In a brief conversation with the Examination Coordinator of KEEA Municipal Education Directorate, Mr. Ebenezer Ansah revealed that a total of 3,133 candidates had registered for the BECE in KEEA Municipality.
This constitutes 1,625 male and 1,508 female.
