  It appears clearly that, the mastermind of crowning of so-called Tijjaniyyah National leader did it for material gains. He was known to be a smart schemer of visa applications, using the office of the National Chief Imam. People believe that, because he thinks he can not continue to serve as an assistant to the Chief Imam after is death, so he capitalized on this Tijjaniyyah 'leader' from Kumasi, who has been so-conscious about leadership position for long. He even used to hijacked guests from Senegal from the grips of his senior predecessors, who had sincerely served as Tijjaniyah murids, who had known Sheikh Ibrahim himself and were not interested in any leadership role, because they were doing it for the sake of Allah. This assistant to the Chief Imam tried to convinced the old man to crown him National Tijjaniyah Leader, so he could continue to use that leverage to acquire visa at cut-throat prices for people....And one of the reasons why people are protesting as to do with that fact that, some of these people craving for leadership have many questions marks of integrity. Some of them encourage their children to do sakawa scam...and they are in jail by now...So how could people with question makrds be leaders of this path of getting near to Allah???

  I do not think that Islam allows the crowing of leaders in the religion. To say that the "Chief Imam" holds the power to decide who can form organizations in Islam is to introduce dictatorship into the religion

  The Chief Imam has no control over the other Muslim Sects. For instance the Ahmadiyya Movement has its leader who is the Ameer. The Alhu Sunna Sect also has its leader. I do not know who made Sharabutu the Chief Imam. This is just a title he has bestowed to himself. He only laeads just one sect of Muslims in Ghana
