Starr Sports sources can confirm that sacked Hearts of Oak midfielder Emmanuel Hayford was behind the club’s abysmal performance for last season as some players have confessed to management.
Hearts officially terminated the contract of the midfielder on Tuesday for reasons management described as lack of commitment and indiscipline.
According to management, after thorough investigations on the dwindling fortunes of the club last season it came out that the midfielder was being influenced with some amount of money by some former managers of the club to determine results of certain games and as well feign injuries to sit out of some key games.
These received moneys are then shared to some key players of the club to play it soft against certain teams to mar the reign of Togbe Afede.
Some players after the season decided to confess to the management of the club.
Hayford who was signed some two seasons ago played 21 games in all competitions for the Phobians in the 2013/2014 season.
Meanwhile, Hearts are set to register 17 players in the coming season.
