Columbus Crew centre-back, Jonathan Mensah has hailed Kwesi Appiah on his latest call-up to the Black Stars.
The AFC Wimbledon forward has been invited by Kwesi Appiah ahead of Ghana’s final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
The 28-year-old has been out of the national team for the past four years due to recurring injuries.
However, Mensah, who was excluded from the final qualifier has patted his colleague for making the squad.
Well deserved my brother, after all you’ve been through. @kwes1appiah much love brother
The former Crystal Palace last played for the Black Stars at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
He was last invited to the National team in 2016 where he picked up an injury at training ahead of Ghana’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique.
