Asante Kotoko captain, Felix Annan says the team will focus on winning the Ghana Premier League (GPL) in order to qualify for Africa club competition next season.
The Porcupine Warriors has only one slot to Africa after exiting the MTN FA Cup competition earlier this season.
Kotoko was knocked out of the competition by Division one side Asokwa Deportivo.
Felix Annan mentioned in an interview on Happy FM that the team’s only chance now is to win the Ghana Premier League when it returns from break.
“When you play for Asante Kotoko the target is to win the league every season. The target never changes, we want to get back to Africa and this is the only way after missing out on the FA Cup”, he told Happy FM.
“We are at home and staying in touch with one another. I hope my other colleagues are also doing their personal training at home. Before the lockdown , the technical team drew a training program for the players and they always keep in touch with us “, he added.
Asante Kotoko before the suspension of the league due to the Coronavirus outbreak were placed fourth with 25 points.
