We complain that Europe mocks us, but we keep serving them premium comedy—no subtitles needed. While Euros protect players, plan years ahead, and let football people run football, we let politics, ego, and chaos dribble past our own goalkeepers.
AFCON has talent, passion, noise, and raw greatness—but we keep sabotaging ourselves with last-minute bans, government interference, unpaid bonuses, and administrative circus acts. You can’t preach African excellence while running tournaments like a neighborhood five-a-side league with ministers as referees.
Respect isn’t begged for—it’s organized. Until African football separates politics from the pitch, protects players, and treats the game like serious business, Europe won’t stop laughing… and honestly, we’ll have handed them the joke ourselves.
