Kwadzo Asamoah plays as if there is nothing at stake. We need people with zeal, hungry and eager to score goals. It was good for Gyan to retire from international assignments. His coming back have rather made things worse. I like the fact that he feels within himself he has something to offer and keep coming. The fact is we have standards in football and he is not up to that. Why do Ghanaians laud Burkina players? They are good and played better. Hey, Derek Boateng! I thought this guy hardly got selection into the Black Stars? Suddenly he has become a regular start for Kwesi Appiah! Atsu, Rabio and co need a lot of experience to shine. Stop panicking and analyze well. Nigeria played horribly in the group stages and made it to the final. In AFCON all these teams are unpredictable and have to be a bit lucky. We have work to do but we have made it to the final four in this tournament for four straight years. Those who want Appiah fired should also ask for the Zambian coach to be fired. The CIA/FBI has written numerous papers on understanding your opponent. A sports psychologist or personality analyst is needed badly.

It means we reduced our strength upfront to defend what? Meanwhile you have not banged any goals to protect it. In the first place, this experiment against Congo Dr failed and why do you want to repeat it again at this crucial time? What's more? Why did they select the other defenders to the tournament and they can not be fielded? What happened to Kissi Boateng, Jonathan Mensah and Akaminko? How come they allowed Gyan to stay on even though he was under performing in this match? In other words BS were already playing 10 against 11 so when B.Fasso player was sent off there were no effects at all. How come when the B.Fasso player was sent off and fatigue set in they could not bring Adomah? At that time all that you they need is speed. Somebody who can ran and take them on like Adomah and it would have been a good omen for the BS. How come they did not bring Clottey to replace Gyan but rather Wakaso the penalty expert. Wakaso could have scored his penalty kick but only to allow Clottey to come and throw it away just like that..How come professional players can not take penalty kicks. It reveals that there are deficiencies in the BS set pieces which needs to be rectified. How come Annan, one of our best midfielders could not be introduced in this game? Who knows.. probably he could have solved our midfield problems. Even though Rabiu tried his best to me he was a foul specialist and Annan should have taken over from him. It reveals that Coach Appiah did not read the game properly to make the right changes at the right time. It is like putting square pegs in a round hole. Coach Appiah needs not to be mechanical but must be flexible at times. In other words if he likes you that is it. It looks like he likes Gyan or Rabiu even though they were struggling he still maintains them. What happened to Goal keeper Adjei our penalty saver expert? Anyway, the harm has already been done and we need to put our acts together so we can move forward. I would like to encourage coach Appiah that when they come back he should revamp the team, invite all our stars who did not make trip and unite them ahead of the world cup qualifying series.

Why is Gyan talking about luck, this is not about luck, it's about in accuracy of a striker who wobbles and inconsistent in his dealings with important campaigns. At 116 minutes 56 seconds into the second period of extra time a glorious chance which needed strikers like opoku afriyie, opoku nti, Kofi BADU, michael boye marquaye could have buried Burkina Faso with a simple accurate header into the far post, another chance just needed a simple tap which hit the post, and another close range header over the bar means Gyan is no good enough and must be replaced. This is nothing to do with luck. Gyan cannot dribble his way in a score but always wants someone to feed him, but a formidable striker should be able to take on defenders and be in possession with the ball and play intelligently but he failed to deliver when it's necessary, get rid of them all.

I am surprised at how lots of us ( soccer loving ) did not realize that this was about to happen. People! Analyze the group matches, what good game did we play. The summary of our game was defenders get the ball and kick it into the opponents half. Since when did ghana play like that. There was virtually no link between our back four and the front . Gyan was a loner with no help and what he and and the coach say when asked about Gyan's role. What a striker is planted In a game to draw two defenders, there must be another one to capitalize on that. That is not what we saw. Then what is this " Awudu isaka " ball that these kids played. I mean dribble only to give the ball to the opponent. It made me remember the days of PWD park in Takoradi where there is something called teaiin... I which there was an English word for it. This is where the ball is cleared by the defense and do not care who gets its. Or where it goes as long as it leaves the area. I personally don't think this is the best team that we can assemble. The coach needs to go back to the drawing board and at least find at two new strikers. Can i also say, Dede Ayew's absence was greatly felt and I guess, the Kwesi will think twice to not let his ego lead him in taking decisions. Finally, the eggs have already been broken, what do we do next... Constructive criticism must be made and accepted instead of all these insults and name calling... Were we expecting something different anaaaaa!
