Pow, please be fair to Gyan. Yes, he scored only one goal but he also set up a lot of goals. Also, he got fowled on his way to scoring a goal which created a penalty opportunity for Wakaso to convert to goal.

You must understand that, the one who sets up the goal is just as good as the one who scores it. Gyan was being double-teamed and tripple-teamed bcos the other teams knew him. So the only sensible thing for him to do was to set up other players on the Ghanaian team to score....and he did that perfectly!!

So please be fair to Gyan.

Pursuant to the last few matches, Gyan was virtually on holiday.
He took time off as a striker and impersonated a play-maker's role that was never meant to be.
As a captain. he had elected to be PK free.MRAA's law never prescribed such a change.
The most reason, why he lost focus. detached from the coach's order of play. And as a result, he constantly missed goals that were more difficult to score than to lose. Ghana settled the fourth.

Shall we rewrite the the scope of operations in the striking department?, OOPS! shall we pray therefore,so Gyan is not made a striker next time around?
