GFA will continue to fail because they are not in firm control of the team because of corruption and something drastic needs to be done to change it.
If GFA is not corrupt, it would have been firm with its Player discipline and would not have allowed Players who take temporal leave of absence from the team with flimsy excuses but what have been done cannot be changed now but the Ayews should be expelled from the team immediately. When a cat is in the house,a mouse should not be making decisions. The Ayew brothers have overblown egos because they have been made to believe the Blackstars without them cannot win games or cups but a Blackstar team with or without them have performed to the same level and should be allowed to retire permanently to bring sanity into the team. They are trouble waiting to wreck havoc into the team and should be expelled, period.
Blackstars is a good striker away from being a good or great team and Ghana should start looking at Waris, Boakye Yiadom, and I like Yahya Mohammed of Amadeus Professionals who can easily be converted to as a striker. Invite Muntari and continue to groom Atsu and Wakaso, they are as good as Dede.

I think this attitude of GFA has been a problem for years by cheating the boys, that saw the exit of some good footballers like Essien or Curvin Boateng. They are rich and feel proud to play for their country. But when it comes to management, Ghanaian officials are lucking. So we need to address the Issue once and for all, that if they are dealing with the boys they know how to deal with them.
We have many talents but who knows what will happen tommorrow. The way GFA and Akwasi Appiah handelled this Ayew was not good.

Why is the GFA being pressured to reward indiscipline and insubordination? A coach is like a teacher; he sets the rules and enforces them; he punishes those who break the rules as deserved. Anytime a teacher shows weakness or unwillingness in enforcing the rules, disciple breaks down in the class, i.e. other students would repeat the misbehavior till the teacher loses control. This is one of the ways in which coaches are like teachers.
I am [also] one of those who believe that Coach Appiah has not done very well[not as Ghanaians expected], but, in the case of the Ayews, where he sought to enforce team discipline, given all the odds, I am with him, and, Ghana would be better off, if he is supported in this effort.
Too often, our over paid players become too pig-headed, giving the many who support them sour grapes. In other countries[Brazil, Spain, Italy], players are always grateful for merely being called up for national duty.Our guys should learn to be a bit grateful for the opportunities that come their way just for being called to the Black Stars.
If a player is not fully fit and the coach decides that he would leave him out for a game or two, why is that wrong? What of the player hinting that he is not at his best, and, maybe, if he makes effort to improve, he would catch the eyes of the coach?
When a player OPENLY gives the coach a FINGER with some expletive merely because the coach substituted him in a match, you have a very serious case of gross insubordination. Now, he is emotionally upset, what about the coach and his team mates? They are not human, they do not have emotions, right? How touchy!
On the other hand, if the Ayews are continuing their father's feud with some members of the GFA and coach Appiah[as rightly suspected], then, the situation is like a student whose father was a teacher in the school, who had issues with some members of staff before he retired. He tried to get on the Parents-Teacher Association[PTA] to still continue his feud, or, because, he believed he could run it better than the current outfit. His son is over his head in the school basking in father's legendary days in that school. Unless the father and retired teacher backs off and allows the new staff do their work, he would hurt discipline in the school, and, he would hurt his son's advancement. Other parents would grumble. No good father should EVER condone a child's insubordination to his teachers. Indiscipline destroys morale.
Like a school, players do not set the rules for discipline in a team. Such a team would be doomed. Similarly, parents with hidden hands manipulating their children to disobey their teachers are simply not good parents--for their children and the community. This is why in the ongoing saga between the GFA and the Ayews brothers [or family?], let the coach and GFA take the measures they see best to maintain disciple and restore the Mighty Black Stars to WINNING MATCHES.

But unfortunately, what the GFA has so far done is to write to virtually "order" them to report to duty. That approach, I believe, begs the question. A high profile person or committee needs to be sent to sit down with the boys and resolve the issues they have. That person or committee must also be mandated to grant audience to Kelvin and Essien, as well as anyone in a similar position. When they all return we can have a solid team that can conquer even the world.
Those who out of envy or hatred are saying the Ayews must be left out of the team should realize how we lacked the bite in the current AFCON and se whether the team Kwasi Appiah assembled can qualify for the world cup or not.
We should not be too arrogant to say sorry if the problem lies at our door steps instead of thinking they are small boys who should not have any "rights". Those days are gone; let us live in the present.
