Osei Kofi is the reason why the old players are not getting anything from the FA. He is so abusive I wonder whether he is actually a pastor. He calls Berekum Chelsea and Aduana Stars nkurasefuo who are trying to take over Ghana football. Kwesi Nyantekyi may have all his problems but Osei Kofi certainly has no solutions for us.

It may be possible that all funds were made available to fulfill that promise, but greedy selfish corrupt leaders confiscated everything or shifted the lump of money into their accounts.

If Ghana also won the 82 Edition, then it may not be spiritual or psychological problem that Black Stars have but the same corrupt behaviour of the leadership. Why is it that the junior national teams do well, but the senior team is not capable? When they are young they bend back take all kinds of things, they accepts all corrupt and unjust practices done to them because they want to make it in their carriers. They want to make name for themselves, make money for themselves and families. They may be green and inexperienced, so they put their hearts and minds, bodies and souls into every game and they will make it to the heights. When they grow and get experience elsewhere then the corrupt leaders find it difficult to control them, when they succeeded, the players only played with their bodies on the fields, nothing but bitterness on the field ready and interested in getting bonuses/money to replace what had gone for putting on the national colours. We see their age mates in other nations rising tall in their national teams and beating us mpo!

Spiritualism does not play soccer period. If spiritualism plays soccer, Israel and Haiti would have won the world cup a zillion times. You win soccer tournaments and for that matter any other sport tournament on the pillars of skills, management, focus and training/ preparation. It is the effective combination and utilization of these pillars that determine if a team will win a tournament or not. Any team that is able to combine these pillars better than the other competing teams wins the tournament. We live in a country where we think God should come and construct highways, power plants and and cultivate rice fields for us. What kind of thinking is this where we do not want to do anything but expect to solve every problem through the spiritual realm? Reverend Osei Kofi some of us heard your name when we were toddlers but as for this your position I beg to differ. What we have not been able to do effectively and better than all competing teams is the maximization of the four pillars I stated earlier. Until we do that God or whatever spirit we are talking about will safe us. God doe not play football neither is he a civil engineer to construct our highways for us.

The real problem for us Ghanaians is the unscientific and illogical manner we think. We always interpret difficulties spiritually.
Ever since AFCON started in 1957, only 14 countries have ever won it out of 54 countries within CAF. As many as 40 countries have not won it before. What spiritual wrong have they done? The answer is none. The truth is that, a team must be deserving to win the competition.
The reason why we have not won it after 1982 is that, we have not been able to raise a cup-winning team in this period not because God is angry with us.
It is morally wrong to fail to honour a promise but that will not have any effect on subsequent teams. For instance the failed promise we are talking about was made just before the 1978 finals in Ghana but just 4 years after that, Ghana won the AFCON again. Rev Osei Kofi's angle is mere superstition which in simple terms another way of reasoning unscientifically and logically. And this is the real problem.
