The GFA has done it's best in trying to bring these boys back but they believe they are above Ghana football. Can they tell us that issues that led to their "retirement" have been resolved with the intervention of the president? The president is setting a bad precedent just as he did when he called the teachers to the flagstaff house. We are aware of the doctors' stance thereafter. Any of our current crop of players can also "retire" and expect the president to intervene.
What was Mohammed Amin's problem? He's a sycophant, and in my opinion looking for an opportunity to be heard by the president - stomach journalism.
Mr. President, you are the father of the nation, but please you must not come down and be doing the job meant for the GFA. Thanks!

He rather went to camp and talked to the team as a whole and advised Gyan to stay because there an ongoing tournament Ghana.after 2008,Asamoah again missed two crucial penalties one being world cup and the other African cup.after those penalties,Ghanaians stood against him against. Psychologically was not alright for missing those crucial penalties and life threatening.so if president KUFFOUR did,he did it only when it mattered most and not discriminated as president Mahama has done

The President's intervention in this matter is irresponsible to say the least. This matter should be dealt with within the Gfa corridors, no more. By the way who do these two think they are? their arrogant Dad should tell them this is the country that produced Ahmed Polo,Osei Kofi, ABEDI AYEW PELE and a whole lot of world class footballers which these two are not. Abedi should also know that his sons are not within miles of the maestro he was. My point is no one player is indispensable to Ghana football and that the key to success in this sport [isn't any?] is discipline so he should start teaching them a lesson or two in that category since they can use a ton of it. Finally let these boys understand that at any given era Ghana has enough talent to beat any African side on an average - good day. I hope Mayele will be man enough not call them through the qualifiers.

It would have been better if the Ayews had returned to the Black Stars without the persuasion of a powerful politician. So what is going to be Mahama's next move?
