Now, with the question as to whether or not Muntari, Dede, Boateng etc. should be left off the Zambia match roster for disciplinary issue is left for the coach to decide.
If there should be a wild run around poll about this thorny issue, I believe these recalcitrants would win.
In that, these players are world beaters. Their names alone would send shivers in the spine of the Zambians.
Unfortunately, in a hyperbolic sense, they have become, sort of, "problem children" of the once close unit (familywise) Now, the argument continues: Do we scold them, punish or starve them for the things children do (their brand of iniquities with much apologies to the Bible) and lose our football respect, OOPS! lose our soul like the bible warns us?
These players in question may not have been the best, I mean the very best Ghana has. We can conveniently boast of hundreds but in a crucial match like the one at hand, the coach's refusal or failure to include them for reasons other than discipline could be preposterous and dangerous as well.
If I were the coach who wants to protect/consolidate my job, respect
and continuity, I would grant them an amnesty. Haaaa

Get your facts right before you talk, ATSU, OH. Can you tell me what Muntari said to the coach that was offensive that deserves apology? Are you telling me you've never questioned your boss, if you have one, on his decision toward your work rate? Can you point out a phrase Muntari used that was abusive to the coach?
If you have no idea what went on between the Coach and the Player then allow us to educate you on that.
Muntari was taken out of a match which he wasn't playing as expected. The coach had a high expectation of the player and the player's performance on the day couldn't match his usual performance rate.
What we may forget is the fact that some players play better against high profile teams than the low profile ones. Muntari is one of those players. Simply, he plays well against tough teams which I don't know why that happens. Besides, if we will put that fact aside and concentrate on another aspect in football, we will find out that not all players perform consistently, and Muntari is not exempted. He is not consistent and we all know that. Therefore, don't expect him to play great in every match. What I'm saying is, in some matches, Muntari plays exceptionally and in others, he doesn't. Keep that in mind!
Now back to the point. Muntari was taken out of a game and he asked the UNASKED QUESTION, "WHY"? I don't know whether Muntari thought he was playing well before he was taken out of the game or not; contrary, the truth was, he wasn't.
Yes, it wasn't an appropriate question to ask a coach in a heat of a moment. However guess what, players are not required to take psychology courses. Even Anger Management Programs clubs and national teams have been asked to provide to their players, how many clubs have you witnessed have done that? Anyway, that is another issue. Allow me to continue.
The coach wanted to win and a player was not playing according to the coach's mapping which resulted of the player's substitution. Yes, I understand, it is upsetting and most coaches would be angry about such a question from such a professional player. However, that doesn't mean the player has insulted the coach by asking such a question.
You see, this is why Psychology 1,2 and 3 have been added into the coaching courses from the past five years now. It is elective and so most coaches don't take all the three. A subject which wasn't included in the previous coaching programs and even some coaches are still complaining about the inclusion of the subject. A coach who has taking psychology knows exactly what to do when crazy questions like this is asked. It was the coach's responsibility to answer the player calmly in a manner to cool off temper. Some of the answers are to be, "because you are not playing according to my plan or strategy; because you are off the formation I prescribed; because your falling back is not good enough and therefore creating spaces for the opponent to maneuver; or better yet, I'm not seeing you today, Muntari." "What is going on? Are you okay? Is there anything I could do to help you get involve in the game as you always do? By coming out with a statement or a question like these, remember, the coach is not the one running on the pitch, it would calm the player down to sit and watch the game being played whilst evaluating his performance.
Do you have an idea whether Kwasi Appiah did anything like that? I don't know and I can't tell. Therefore, it is not my place to insult or bash on the player just because he asked a question that wasn't supposed to be asked.
For Muntari to storm into the dressing room whilst the game was being played was where I see him doing wrong, because according to fifa rules and regulations, a substituted player is supposed to remain on the bench till the game is in recess or over. This Fifa rule separates the reserved and listed players from the unlisted players. This is where Muntari has to apologize since he went to the locker room and took shower and changed himself. According to him he was feeling too hot and couldn't help it but to have some cold water on him. His statement also could be argue because we all know how warm it was at the country the match took place.
So now, where did you people get the insults as Muntari rained upon the coach from? Who came out with that story? Are you basing your facts on what Christopher Opoku listed in his article as Muntari has to apologize to the coach from? Get the facts Mr. and come back to me.
You see, I'm in Ghana at the moment and Christopher Opoku has still not responded to a call for us to sit and talk about this issue.
We need to unite for it is very important for us to do so at this time of the qualification. We need all the players we could get our hands on for proper preparation toward this up-coming Zambia encounter. This is not the time to break the chain.
I rest my case.

Did Appiah not say that Muntari has apologized. Will a battle-tested Admiral throw overboard his non-apologetic but experienced captain and consequently lose the war or allow his ship to sink into Davey Jones locker , just to make a point? Who is red-taping the paper-work and , why, why, and why. Who were those involved in the negotiations for the return of the Sons of Abedi, Muntari and Prince Kevin Boateng? Does this list include a President, a Monarch, and an Alhaji? Why are they now idle. Why this brinkmanship? The paperwork must be completed now or they bear the consequencies of any future disaster together with Appiah, Muntari, Prince Kevin Boateng, and the sons of Abedi. What is the problem. Why is Muntari suspiciously silent on this important issue during the interview? Appiah must address any further demands the "disloyal" players are trying to impose on him that is hindering their return. He must do this to exonerate himself from blame and for love of country. Are we ready for the Zambians? Beware of the Zambians.Where are the priorities? Mountains out of molehills! We must win convincingly to put the fear back in the hearts of our future opponents in Africa and the rest of the world.

IN OTHER CASE LET ME TELL YOU KOFI THAT, THERE IS POSIBILITY OF SENIORITY OF PLAYERS IN THE TEAM THAT HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO SPEAK OUT. SO TO ME, THE ISSUE MUST BE SULVED ONCE AND FOR ALL AND WHICH MUST INCLUD MICHAEL ESSIEN, KEVIN P. BOATENG, ALI MUNTARI, THE AYEWS AND EVEN FORMAL CAPTINE STEVEN APPIAH.
IN OTHER WORDS, GFA SHOULD AND MUST GIVE THESE GUYS A KIND OF RESPECT TO CALL AN IMMEDIATE OR EXCLUSIVE MEETING IN OTHER TO END THE OBSTRUCTIONS THAT THE TEAM IS FACING.
NOTE THAT, GFA AND THE OTHER EXECUTIVES CAN NOT COMPER THE SENIORS TO THE JUNIORS UNDER THE SAME RULES SOMETIMES. THE GFA IS TAKING TOO MUCH ADVANTAGE ON THE PLAYERS BY USING THAT APOLOGY ADVOCATE TO JUST TRASH ISSUES OFF, AND THAT CAUSES UNSUSTAINABLITY TO THE GHANA BLACK STAR TEAM FOR A LONG LONG TIME. PLEASE COME BACK KOFI.

If you don't apologize, then, Sulley you proved yourself to be a trouble maker if I go by your history (soccer-wise).Finally, stop thinking that, the Zambians are coming to Kumasi to be mere push-overs, that the game soccer is always predictable and remember when your team in Europe won the first game 2-0, you went on to predict victor for your team in the next game. What happened thereafter? You lost by about four goals. This time around in Ghana, you would not be playing.

Great comments from a great player. Please Ghana your talks seem as if you are scared of Zambia? I never read such when you played the likes of Sudan, Lesotho whom you silenced quietly. But how come you are talking fire against Zambia if you know you will crush then to nought? For me it appears you are very very scared. You can beat Zambia in Kumasi with a lot of Goals and still qualify. But before you qualify, play and win. If you lose you have to be prepared to swallow your pride against a team you which has seen great teams fall. Remember history. Zambia has ahrdly won a match away in Ghana. Iam a Zambian but you will do well to win this match and qualify. all this talk wont be necessary. What will matter is to see the black stars qualify for the world cup.Remember you still have to stamp your authority in play offs which I also think will not be easy again for Ghana. I hope this brazil talk will finish. However, I have the following teams which I think will qualify for brazil: GHANA, IVORY COAST,SENEGAL, NIGERIA AND EGYPT. I have however put my money on ETHOPIA.

Brave words by Suley Muntari a tru patriot and loyal in his quest for a win against Zambia. I ve watched Muntari several times and have come out with some stunning goals for Ghana and i still believe he ll do it again if given the opportunity. His never say die spirit and effort is appreciated by many Ghanaians except his outburst sometimes need to be addressed in the most peaceful way including an apology to the national coach Akwesi Appiah. He is only a human being who makes mistakes just like every one else and when it happened it should be resolved in a more friendly way without a problem and move on. Zambia match would be very easy going as the Black stars are poised to make it triple in their world cup appearances and am sure the world will be so amazed to see Ghana competing in BRAZIL 2014. The Ayews are another extra bonus for Ghana as once again the super stars will line up against Zambia including Kevin prince Boateng and others, trust me Zambia stands no chance on the day at the BABA YARA STADIUM IN Kumasi. If anything at all Ghana will win by 3 goals to 1 if Zambia is lucky.Am very much sure coach Akwesi Appia will handle the ongoing situation within the Black stars including the return of the Ayews and that of MUntari coz after all a win with Zambia ll put everything to rest at the end of the day.

Ghana is a big industry and only someone with a big mind can be most effective in handling its affairs. It takes a big mind to know that it is not necessary to go into litigation over trivial matters because big minds focus on the big picture.
We have these star players, Kelvin Prince Boateng and the Ayews who for no justified reasons decided to quit the national team. Then as a result of certain behind-closed-door appeals by prominent persons including His Excellency, the President John Mahama, they have announced their readiness to play for the Black Stars again. One would have thought the drama has ended.
But look at how "small minds" are going about it. They have dismissed the declarations of the players in the absence of a written letter. Their reason is that, they first wrote a letter to announce their retirement. Most people are asking, "what is difficult about them writing?" A letter adds no value to the equation at all. All that is needed is to invite them – if they fail to come then we know they are not serious and we move on.
And look at how small minds are handling a precious jewel like Sulley Muntari. To the big mind Sulley’s wrongful act of not showing respect to the coach is no big deal if you know what football is about.
The only thing that actually matters in football is for your team to win. Nobody praises a coach for assembling well-behaved players. The glory of the coach lies in his team winning. So a wise coach assembles the best players to play for him. If KPB, the Ayews and Sulley Muntari don’t play for Ghana, they don’t lose anything; the coach loses big because his team cannot go far enough. Small mind says, even without them we qualify to the world cup – that is true. But big mind is thinking of going beyond the quarter final in Brazil.
José Mourinho has attained a super coach status mainly because of how wise he manages footballers under him. He is very careful not to deflate the egos of his players because he knows his players need their big egos to perform. It is not for nothing that Michael Essien passionately calls him "Daddy". Former captain of England, Allan Shearer, described Mourinho as someone who puts himself “in the firing line for his players” - ie he takes responsibility for his players’ mistakes. Because of this, Allan Shearer explained, his players "kill" themselves for him. In other words, he gets the best out of his players.
We need big minds to manage the Black Stars.
Troublesome Muntari has been put to rest by Akwasi Appiah

Is it too hard for him to say I'm sorry in front of his team mates and on camera? Yes! he has done a lot for Ghana in the past and that is why this behavior is unexpected.
Whether he is playing or not is besides the point. Fifa.com went to him to interview. He did not ask them to come to him. Secondly, the decision as to who will play is Coach Appiah's to make not Muntari.
Osee ayee!! Osee Ayee! Yes Muntari,we are going to beat them 6 nil. Mark my words BUDDY. Funny Zambias
