How much are they paying him? He may have to follow Gyan's lead and look for a more lucrative contract in the oil rich countries.

If his original contract is set to expired in 2016, why sign another to extend it? This is just common sense because 2016 is already long. Already, he signed for 6 years which is too long. The agent is just greedy and using this player. Maximum contract's duration shouldn't exceed 5 years so why go beyond that? A new team may want to pay more for his services in the near future. This is a very bad business.
He shouldn't agree to that because when another player is contracted and the coach prefers that players, at that time whether Badu can perform or not, he would be shipped to a lower division club. That is where the frustration would set in.
He should think about that before he does anything.

Slim I have understood your point and where you coming from but this topic is double edge sword.
I have understood your school of thought. You meant the player approximately have two more years to serve under his contract and expanding it to 2018 is very bad especially when the same player signed 6 years contract earlier on. Which is more or less slavery .Hahahaha anyway you didn’t mention slavery.
Now this is another school of thought. If Udinese fails to let him expand his time of the contract,2014 is around the corner and before you will say Jake,2015 will appear.
During the year 2015, Badu could decide not to pen his signature on any contract but wait to go on a free transfer or UDINESE would be force to transfer BADU against their wish due to the fear that he could go as free agent in 2016 if they are unable to let him extend his contract during 2015.
So for the team to be in a safe position, why won’t they let him expand his contract?
A case in point is ARSENAL and VAN PERSIE. Arsenal as a club failed to renew VAN PERSIE contract till there was only one year for the contract to expire. VAN PERSIE refused to renew his contract when he knew he just had a season to play for Arsenal and leave to another team as a free agent. Arsenal as a club was forced to sell him or possibility of losing VAN PERSIE without financial gain.
Even though teams such as PSG and JUVENTUS brought far better offer on the table than what Man UTD was willing to pay, Arsenal accepted but VAN PERSIE decided to reject those teams and preferred to be transferred to Man UNITED or stay for the season as Arsenal player and go on a free transfer.
So Arsenal decided to sell him .
Maybe Udinese don’t want the same situation to happen to them.
So my dear brother Slim as I have said, this topic is like a double edge sword.
