This is the World Cup and every nation is supposed to display their very best talent for the rest of the world to see. If those lads failed to measure up, they don't deserve to be there.
They were rewarded for their work by being exposed to the world during the qualifiers. But, some of them couldn't cut it and end up in some leagues abroad, mainly in South Africa and the like.
If Mourinho or Fergusson were our coach, the commitment they would be looking for is dedication to hard work and winning.
Nobody says life is fair. Otherwise, those of us who do the actual work for our bosses should be paid more.

Bro, do you think this issue with KPB is germain to the Black Stars alone?
Read some of the sports news from Argentina and Uruguay.
The way I look at it is that KPB is still carrying the flag of Ghana very high in Europe by burning the bundeslige and making a stand against racism in Italy.

You were asking if KPB scores whether I will celebrate. Of course I will celebrate.... not because I like KPB, but because he is representing Ghana and if he scores, that is in favour of Ghana (unless it is an own goal). If KPB scores for Shalke or whoever, I dont care. The same way I will celebrate if an opposition player against Ghana scores an own goal, is the same way I will celebrate if KPB scores, with MUCH joy!!

If KPB scores and you will celebrate because he is representing our country, why are you not supporting him then? Is he not going to represent the country anymore. If he scores or help the team to win, you will love it, but you want him to be excluded from the team? How come?
Look Bro. the best is called to represent the country. This is why you and I were not called because we are not among the best. Those who started the qualification, however, may not be able to finish it, at least have had the opportunity to show that they too are there and the country could always call them when they are needed. It is unfortunately that 60 players couldn't be called for a single tournament. There is time for everything and everyone has his own time to shine. Their time will one day come and by the time, may be, Kevin's time may be over.
If I have been here since 2006, you think I will runaway when Kevin is gone after 2014 WC? Kevin leaving should let us know that it is not the end of the Black Stars. Matter of fact, when he leaves, others take that as an opportunity to step in to show what they have. When Kevin is in the squad, I could say 3 players may not get the opportunity to show their talents because he is capable of playing 3 departments, defensive mid, offensive mid and attacking.
Let us thank God that he is back because both his presence in the team and his absence from the team benefit the nation whether you like it or not.

Comment to: GFA closes chapter on Kevin-Boateng's Black Stars
GFA has done well by going after him severally, and the decision of not pursuing him again is understandable. Cross his name from the book since that will be the appropriate thing to do.
Now, even if he plays for a club in heaven and comes back, he should not be allowed to play for this country anymore. He has disrespected the country enough. I remembered saying the same thing on this forum and someone thought I hated Kevin. Now, what is our stand in this case now? How did we benefit by going after him when he announced his retirement?
This is what I said to you

Comment to: Cross His Name from the Book
We all know where you stand on this. The infamous "I am for and now I am against it" still ringing bell like Anita Ward's Ringing my bell song in our ears.
How did we benefit by going after him when he announced his retirement?***Slimzay
The good book says this
"Which of you men, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in their pasture and go in search of the lost one till he if it"
The benefit is as a country and as people we did the right. You were supporting Milo when he was wasting our money chasing "BBB" who had made it clear that he would only play for Italy so what benefit did we gain after that 9 trips to Italy by Milo you answer this questions.
I would be back with more when I landed you were so against everyone all because that lazy Serbian did not want him.

Mr. N, you that is the difference between you and I. The country was chasing KPB and YES, I disagreed that because no one, and I mean, no one citizen is above the country. Therefore, chasing him was wrong! I was among those who were saying we shouldn't chase him and I will never deny that no matter who that player is. When GFA got tired of chasing him, what happened? They even stopped; they put an end to it. That was the goal of my advocating back then. Yes, omit his name from the Black Stars list forever even if he plays for Heaven FC, if we have to chase him around.
Now, the player himself came with his letter to be reinstated. In this case, no one chased him but he came on his own. Are you getting it, Mr. Liar. When the player is willing to play for the country and no one is chasing him to do so, whatever he did prior to the time he submitted his reinstated letter should be forgiven and forgotten. Who am I to use one's past to condemn him. That is the difference between you and I. I forgave; however, you didn't and still holding it against him.
Yes, it was difficult for me to forget about what KPB said about the country and his comments after he retired but I came to learn that we can't hold onto anyone's past to judge him.
It is about time you do so. For the fact that you can't forgive him, even when there are facts before you about him, you still don't consider it. The player brought his medical report including his physiotherapist to proof that he wouldn't be able to play a match. You turned the story around that he came with the intention to play. He reported to camp and was examined by the national team's doctor before Zambia match, you called such an act fake, even though he came to the match and was sitting on the team's bench. He submitted an injury report before Egypt's match to clear his name about his injury, this one also you called it faking. All those facts (evidence) couldn't convince you because of the thoughts you have about him. What are you, a perfect man? Are you saying, you don't make mistakes? Just let it go, Mr. N. for it is about time to let the past be and support him.

Personally, I was taking in he discussion between Slimjay and the other poster. Real interesting. They have their opinions just as you but my opinion is, your views are whacked. We have had foreign born players who have been more dedicated than KPB - Adam Kwarasay, Otto Addo, Jordan & Andre Ayew. KPB's behavior is not that he was born in a foreign country. It is the individual in him. If you don't like him it should not be transferred to other foreign born players. After all, they have also been doing their part in helping Ghana qualify.

3. They were rewarded for their work by being exposed to the world? How many people on the world stage watch world cup qualifiers, and AFRICAN world cup qualifiers for that matter? Which tv stations show African world cup qualifiers? If Lesotho and Swaziland are playing a world cup qualifier, would you watch?
4. They were rewarded for their work by being exposed to the world - So KPB has not yet been exposed to the world? Or he has had his reward of being exposed to the world but you deem him fit to come for second helpings or what?
5. They were rewarded for their work - LOL, what gratitude. They've been rewarded, so they should "F" off right?
6. If ferguson were our coach he would be looking for dedication - No - Ferguson would have gotten rid of any player who grows wings, cases in point: David Beckham, Jaap Stam, Ruud Van Nisteroy, Paul Ince, Gabriel Heinze, Roy Keane,Carlos Tevez ALL GREAT players Fergie kicked out because they were growing wings..... AA on the other hand (and everyone here knows I am an AA supporter, so dont think I am saying this because I do not like AA) AA on the other hand will go and sit in Milan to beg KPB to play for Ghana, and KPB will SNUB him. He did not even pay him the respect of meeting him to tell him not to bother. He SNUBBED him (as3 ni hu y3 ney hin!), but then, what do you know, world cup comes around, KPB says I am available, and AA calls him.

No one is saying he is not a good player but the monkey de work baboon de chop factor is all too clear. The coaches you mentioned will not play any player who does not show commitment to a cause. Are you saying KPB is present because we won 6-1 against Egypt? What sense does that make to you at all? How many goals did we score against Lesotho, wasn't it 7? After that match, did you see KPB's presence to participate in the next match? If not, then why coming out with such a comment?
You see, when KPB is hurt and can't play, you talk about it. Today he is fit and coming to play too, you are talking about it. What do you want him to do now? You were one of those who were telling lies about Kevin Prince Boateng that he refused to play in Ghana, Kumasi, against Congo but went to England with the desire to play for Ghana during our encounter with England. That story came out to be something some of you put together. Isn't it enough with all these untrue stories?
The player brings facts to support his absent from international assignment, you termed it as fake; he presents himself for evaluation, you termed it fake. Now he is here to play, you want to label his action as fake too? Wonders shall never end!
Ghana people, let this man be and help him with prayers. Even if he didn't play for any of the qualifying matches, through his and others inabilities to honor our invitations, the team has been able to generate more and quality players whom we will see as back-ups for the regular players.
We may not understand when things happen, but at least, we should look at the end product of every circumstance. We are too blind to see the goodness in bad situations. How can we give thanks to one who created us? Think about it.

Haaa you made me daff Pastordev, do you expect me to hanza you those kw3tions that you have put on me? I really don't 'sabi' where and how you got that Lesotho 7 nil thrash to come and mingled it with my "What if" Ghana 1 Egypt 6 theory. Yes I challenge a goal each from Essien,Dede Ayew and Boateng, you are 90mins or call it an hour to Brazil.Guys do Ghana the honour beat Egypt on their own soil, forget the 6-1 victory and play as if you need only a win inorder to go to worldcup.Fear? What fear forget all these nonsense about the crazy Cairo fans, because nothing would happen to you guys,go into these match with the mindset to beat Egypt bcos you already put them in a tight situation and they are under tremendous pressure.Your job now is to go in there and play your game relax but very tough, take the game to them control the midfield and take charge of possession of the game from start to finish,do not give them any chance to control these match, the pressure is on them so please finish what you started,on the field ignore and totally focus 100% on the game and forget and stay very strong from any intimidation, remember nothing would happen to you the whole wide world would be watching and the whole of GHANA would be with you in spirit and in prayers. All we are saying is no matter what take us to Brazil 2014 by GOD'S grace, you guys have come a long way to throw it away now because of some stupid media report. The good NEWS is GHANA have done the right thing by notifying FIFA about their security concern, that is why you have nothing to worry about BECAUSE not only FIFA the whole WORLD is keeping an EYE open and watching, finally I also call the the referee from Ivory Coast to be fair and not to be intimidated by anyone and watchout for fake falls from Egyptian players cos they might try a lot of tricks. Our defence and goalkeeper beware and stay alert at all time, strikers should try as much as possible to score goals, you need to score Black Stars no joke please may GOD be with you amin

What does his call up do to the morale and emotions of these young ones who have stood the storm?
To what end is his call up? That he gets a platform to sign for another big club and feign injuries after Brasil 2014?

With their thrashing of Mexico in Friday’s Fifa U-17 World Cup final, Nigeria have shown why they are the best in the world. Goal examines one facet of their dominance
ANALYSIS
By Sammie Frimpong
With respect to excellence in youth football, Ghana and Nigeria are Africa's torchbearers, with the latter being the latest of the duo to assert its might after claiming the ultimate at the just-ended Fifa Under-17 World Cup in the UAE.
CHAMPIONS | The Super Eaglets are the 2013 U17 world kings
Occasionally, the likes of Cote d'Ivoire, Mali, and Egypt do make a statement of sorts, yet the status quo has always been the reserve of the two west African giants. Generations of senior sides for both countries have been built on the back of huge feats at junior level, with the likes of Nwankwo Kanu, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Austin Okocha and Michael Essien all emerging from talent factories so fecund.
There arises the million-dollar question, though: which of the pair - between Ghana and Nigeria- is better, if not necessarily more productive, at international youth football?
Goal seeks to answer as accurately as possible, using the simplest of statistics.
THE CRITERIA
As a measure of determination, the key to these comparisons is to credit two points for each title won at continental level, and one less for a runner-up finish. A championship triumph on the global stage fetches three points, a finalist slot two, and a bronze-winning campaign gets one. Multiply the deserved point(s) by how often a country has achieved a particular feat, add up, compare the final tallies and, Voila! *
So, then, shall we?
U17s
At U17 level, Nigeria are the top dogs on the international stage, underscoring that very fact with a convincing victory against Mexico on Friday. That conquest puts them on four titles, one better than Brazil and, even more crucially to this analysis, two ahead of Ghana. Nigeria have made the finals thrice more but lost. Comparatively, Ghana are not too far behind. In fact, had the Black Starlets been successful on the two other occasions they made the finals (1993 & 1997), they would have counted as many U17 world titles as Nigeria, and perhaps prop their cause up with the bronze secured from New Zealand 1999. However, the Eaglets' dominance is not so pronounced on their home continent, with their two titles matched equally by Ghana and being just one losing finalists' spot better.
At the end of 'Round One', the scores read as calculated below:
GHANA - AFRICA (WINNER): 2x2?4
" " (FINALIST): 1x1?1
4+1?5
GHANA - WORLD (GOLD): 2x3?6
" " (SILVER): 2x2?4
" " (BRONZE): 1x1?1
6+4+1?11
SUM : 5+11?16
NIGERIA - AFRICA (WINNER): 1x2?2
" " (FINALIST): 2x1?2
2+2?4
NIGERIA - WORLD (GOLD): 4x3?12
" " (SILVER): 3x2?6
" " (BRONZE): 0x1?0
12+6+0?18
SUM : 4+18?22
U20s
BREAKING GROUNDS | Black Satellites conquered the world in 2009
Nigeria have been twice as successful as Ghana has at the African Youth Championships - six titles to three - and have been at par with their neighbours in finishing second, with two silver wins apiece. Only in 1999 did the rivals contest the final, and Ghana, then managed by Italian Giuseppe Dossena, emerged victors by a solitary Laryea Kingson goal in Accra. At the U20 World Cup, Ghana have claimed four podium finishes - once in third-place, twice as runners-up, before picking Africa's sole world crown four years ago - in six appearances. Nigeria, on the other hand, have achieved all that Ghana have but the title.
GHANA - AFRICA (WINNER): 3x2?6
" " (FINALIST): 2x1?2
6+2?8
GHANA - WORLD (GOLD): 1x3?3
" " (SILVER): 2x2?4
" " (BRONZE): 1x1?1
3+4+1?8
SUM : 8+8?16
NIGERIA - AFRICA (WINNER): 6x2?12
" " (FINALIST): 2x1?2
12+2?14
NIGERIA - WORLD (GOLD) : 0x3?0
" " (SILVER): 2x2?4
" " (BRONZE): 1x1?1
0+4+1?5
SUM : 14+5?19
U23s
Things are a little more balanced title-wise at continental U23 level where each nation has managed one triumph in five participations at the All African Games. Only when silver medals accumulated at the tournament are factored in do Nigeria distinguish themselves, edging this particular count 2-0. In the larger picture, Nigeria increase their advantage with some five points from fine performances at the Olympics football tournament; three from winning the Atlanta 1996 edition, and another two from finishing next to Lionel Messi's Argentina in Beijing half-a-decade ago. Ironically, the only medal Ghana can boast of - bronze won by that ridiculously talented batch of Black Meteors at Barcelona 1992 - was that which put Africa on the Olympic football podium for the first time. That said, it fetches them no more than a point. Now let's see how that adds up to give us our final, almost conclusive figures:
GHANA - AFRICA (WINNER): 1x2?2
" " (FINALIST): 0x1?0
2+0?2
GHANA - OLYMPICS (GOLD): 0x3?0
" " (SILVER): 0x2?0
" " (BRONZE): 1x1?1
0+0+1?1
SUM : 2+1?3
NIGERIA - AFRICA (WINNER): 1x2?2
" " (FINALIST): 2x1?2
2+2?4
NIGERIA - OLYMPICS (GOLD): 1x3?3
" " (SILVER): 1x2?2
" " (BRONZE): 0x1?0
3+2+0?5
SUM : 4+5?9
GRAND TOTAL - GHANA: 16 + 16 + 3 ? 35
GRAND TOTAL - NIGERIA: 22 + 19 + 9?50
CONCLUSION
Ghana's successes at youth football level cannot be understated; they might be third, fourth, or even second best in the world. On home turf, though, they do not seem to run their neighbours close enough. Nigeria are clearly on top, a full 15 points ahead and trumping the Ghanaians on each count, per the units of measurement applied in this analysis.
So maybe statistics are a bit like mini-skirts.
Maybe they do reveal everything.
Well done, 'Naija'.

These are the same players you are dissing who have taken the BS to the final game before Brazil. KPB has never played for Ghana in any qualifying round and match after the last World Cup. No one is saying he is not a good ...

Bro, handkerchiefs are not wide enough. Let us send him 20 comforters since he loves to cry over this Kevin's inclusion.
Are you saying KPB is present because we won 6-1 against Egypt? What sense does that make to you at all? How many goals did we score against Lesotho, wasn't it 7? After that match, did you see KPB's presence to participate in ...

Every human being is an opportunist, are we going to consider Osagyefo Nkrumah and Rawlings as opportunists?Whatever achievement they made in their field somebody started it before they continue.
Those calling for KPB's head.. Do you know the impact of sending players of his status to the world cup? Those players are FIFA players and their presence even help our games. GFA and Kwasi Appiah are not f.o.0ls? They know w ...

Seriously?
KWASI APPIAH IS NO FOOL. HE WANTS TO ACHIEVE RESULTS AND CANNOT AFFORD TO LEAVE OUT KPB, A WORLD STAR OUT OF HIS SQUAD FOR THE WORLD CUP.
Need good results. And you can only do that with quality players and a very good bench.
WE MUST BEAT THEM WELL WELL. SO THEY CAN GO TO WAR...
IF KWASI APPIAH HAD PLANNED THE FIRST LEG WITH YOUR PRECONCEIVED MIND AND PREMONITIONS, HE WOULD HAVE USED THE SO CALLED "LOYAL AND COMMITTED PLAYERS" SUCH AS OLELE, SOLOMON ASANTE ETC. AND YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE. ANYO ...
