If you cannot read soccer, let me tell you guys that it was Michael Essien who won the match for Chelsea. Southampton is no cheap team this season. Mourinho had sleepless nights trying to figure out how to maintain his unbeaten home run. The answer was Essien. If Southampton hard not scored the first goal that early, Chelsea would not have forced to overcome. They would probably have played a regular game only to be beaten at home or draw with the vociferous Southampton. Go Essien!

The defense (two guys) shouldn't have allowed the attack to surprise them the way they did, but it was at the very onset of the march. Though I thought Essien would recover from what happened he never did. It was a good decision to bring in someone else.
In general he fared well in that match. He didn't panic but he was stressed.
