There is still a lot of playing value in you. Go and sell it elsewhere to wrap up your career and retire to enjoy your savings in dignity. You can easily get a juicy contract in the USA, Canada, Japan, UAE, Japan, South Korea etc where the pressure and potential for injuries are even less.

If I am Essien, I go to a weaker league where I can get real playing time so I am ready for the World Cup. As I have been suggesting all along. He should only be a substitute. He is not a starter for the World Cup.

I agree with you that Essien should leave for a league where he can gain some play time.I also think that players selected for Brazil should be able to last the entire tournament and be as versatile as possible.In that sense we shouldn't just aim at coming out of group stage as our ultimate goal.I think they should select players like Afful who is tough and very versatile, and include older players like Muntari who has the skill, strength, pace and durability to last.If we take soft, slowed and dulled players like Kevin Boating,Essien,Kingston and Painsil we will be lucky to win a game or even score a goal.

I feel sad rather for Chelsea; I prefer that team to any other in the UK.
Sadly, they have been at the losing end these past weeks, and even Mourinho,'the special one', is at a loss as to what is going wrong!
